Free widget · Clubs, coaches, teachers
Put a coordinates trainer on your own page.
One snippet adds our Find the Square drill to your site: a square name appears, your visitor taps it on the board, and after 10 questions they get a score. It is free, needs no sign-in and sets no cookies.

The code ends with a small credit line, “Coordinates trainer by ChessTrainer.ai”, as a normal link in your page. Please keep it: it is how other coaches find the widget, and it is the only thing we ask in return.

- Theme

- Privacy

Who it is for
- Clubs
A warm-up on the juniors page that new members can play before their first session.
- Coaches
Homework that needs no app and no login: send students to your own site and ask for their level 3 score.
- Teachers
A five-minute station on a class site or Google Sites page. Nothing to install, nothing for the school to approve beyond the page itself.
- Bloggers
Under a post about notation or visualization, so readers practise the thing you just explained.
Questions
Yes, with no plan and no limit on visitors. The drill runs in the visitor’s browser from static files, so a thousand players on your page cost us close to nothing per visitor. In return we ask you to keep the credit link under the frame.
No. There is no sign-in, no email and no pop-up. A visitor taps the squares and sees a score after every round of ten. Anyone who wants saved progress and the other drills can come to ChessTrainer.ai through the credit link.
It sets no cookies and asks for no sign-in. We count one anonymous view each time the widget loads, with no user id and nothing stored on the visitor’s device, so we know roughly how many people it reaches. Answers stay in the browser.
Pick Auto, Light or Dark above. The frame is 420 px wide by default and shrinks to fit narrower columns, and the board stays playable down to 300 px. For a wider column, change the width, the height and the max-width in the code. Board colours are fixed so the squares stay readable.
Yes. Paste the code into a Custom HTML block (WordPress), an Embed or HTML element (Wix, Squarespace) or Embed > Embed code (Google Sites). On phones the board fills the column and every square is a tap target.
Anyone who knows what a chessboard looks like, from about age six. Level 1 covers only a1 to d4, so a beginner learns files and ranks on sixteen squares first. Levels 4 and 5 flip the board, which still catches club players out.
Want more than one drill? The full coordinates module has 6, with voice answers and levels that remember where you stopped.
